The first time I wrote poetry was for a college course. It was so out of my comfort zone and by the end of class, I felt a sense of accomplishment. So, for the #100dayproject I decided to try poetry again and this time, haiku. Unfortunately, life events prevented me from reaching 100 and I hope to try again soon. I drew inspiration from the every day in my neighborhood. Our natural world fascinates, enlivens, and balms my soul. Writing haiku was a way to share the beauty often found right under my nose.
