Concept Green’s New Website, Logo and Identity Suite

Concept Green is a strategic sustainability consulting firm based in Albuquerque, New Mexico founded by owner and CEO Carrie McChesney.

Working with Carrie was an absolute pleasure. She came to us totally organized, prepared and committed to taking her company to the next level. It is always so exciting to be around that kind of commitment and energy; level of professionalism.

Logo Redesign & Identity Suite

Here are Concept Green’s original logo (top) and the other ideas we created for Concept Green.

After exploring some refinements to her existing logo, we decided to go more abstract while keeping the “face”. We then pushed even further by using the letters “C” and “G” to create a more organic mark.

After making some refinements to line weight and shapes, this is the final logomark:

And here is the logomark applied to her new letterhead, envelopes and business cards.

Website redesign

Goals included:

  • Standout from all the other sustainability consulting firms
  • The website should feel contemporary, fresh, warm
  • Avoid clichés about being “green”
  • Easy to use and navigate
  • Incorporate a blog
  • Easy to edit existing content

Using her answers from our website planner, we first came up with a mood board to show how her answers might translate in colors, typography and any graphics.

We had a clear, agreed road map and that made execution much easier. The level of mutual respect and trust is what made this project a true collaboration and a wonderful experience.

The site is coded by web developer and partner-in-crime, John Knotts of Code72 and is elegantly integrated with the ExpressionEngine CMS. Carrie is now able to update and tweak as needed.

Future Plans

We’ll be working with Carrie on Phase 2 of her website during the early part of next year to incorporate events, video, a calendar, simple e-commerce and potentially membership features and an email newsletter.

Congratulations Carrie!
